Yes, it is indeed nearing the end of May, but I’ve been away awhile and I wanted to share the results of the March challenge with you. The theme was “Crossovers” and the parameters were left wide open.
In first place was stitchingmama with Lego Movie Meets Portal 2:
Coming in a close second was AgitatedMojo with Shovel Knight and Diglett:
In third place was icedragonj, with Journeyer and Latias:
Incidentally, icedragonj also received the illustrious BMH-stamp-of-approval for the interesting character combo.
Awesome as usual, everyone! The event for April and May has been a sampler stitch-a-long. I can’t wait to see, and post, the finished projects!
Keep stitching, everyone. It’s good to be back.
I love quirky lighting projects, and especially video game ones. I discovered these awesome LED light pieces in the Etsy store of TheDailyRobot.
Each piece is made from multiple layers of laser-etched acrylic and are side lit by LEDs. I think they are stunning! There’s more in the Etsy store, do check it out!
Etsy shop Francesca4me makes and sells cookie cutters. Not just any old ones, though – these cutters are simply awesome. I’ve picked out some of my favourites to share:
They are all made from PLA (Polylactic Acid or Polyactide, which is made from certain types of plants) using 3D printing. The really great thing about these cutters is the incredible attention to detail. And they have many more wonderful cutters in the shop!
ABitOfImagination on Etsy makes these fab video game themed light boxes. Here’s a few I picked out to share.
They are all made using perler beads for the designs, and a shadow box with a light fitting. I really like the effect the light has on the perlers. They’d make lovely display pieces, or great little night lights!
Heartstringcrochet on DeviantART makes some of the cutest amigurumi around. Including lots of Pokemon! I’ve picked out just three to show you.
This is Koffing, Vileplume and Charizard – but there are many more on the dA page. Some Pokemon, as well as other lovely creations, are available to buy on Heartstringcrochet’s Etsy store!
Playing pokemon games from the old nes can now be played online through play retro games. They have games such as pokemon x and y available to play online.
