Video Game Cookie Cutters

Saturday, March 7th, 2015

Etsy shop Francesca4me makes and sells cookie cutters. Not just any old ones, though – these cutters are simply awesome. I’ve picked out some of my favourites to share:

Midna from Twilight Princess:

Samus, Metroid and Logo:

Majora’s Mask, Fierce Deity and Happy Mask Salesman:
mm cutters

Kanto Starter Pokemon:

They are all made from PLA (Polylactic Acid or Polyactide, which is made from certain types of plants)  using 3D printing. The really great thing about these cutters is the incredible attention to detail. And they have many more wonderful cutters in the shop!

Video Game Light Boxes

Sunday, February 22nd, 2015

ABitOfImagination on Etsy makes these fab video game themed light boxes. Here’s a few I picked out to share.

They are all made using perler beads for the designs, and a shadow box with a light fitting. I really like the effect the light has on the perlers. They’d make lovely display pieces, or great little night lights!

I tried to think of some words to introduce this hat, but nothing suitable came to mind. So I’ll let the picture do the talking!

Lord Helix Cross Stitch

Wednesday, January 14th, 2015

HornyPig from the forums stitched this awesome image of the great Lord Helix.

Lord Helix, an Omanyte (and later an Omastar), featured prominently in Twitch Plays Pokemon. The sprite that HornyPig stitched was created by hamigakimono.

Staryu Tree Topper

Monday, December 22nd, 2014

Lots of people like to have a star at the top of their Christmas tree, but how many would have a Staryu? I certainly would.

This fab perler bead topper was made by Amber of Etsy shop BurritoPrincess. I love the little Pokemon on the rest of the tree too. Do check out Amber’s other listings, there’s some great stuff in her shop. And if you prefer a Starmie to Staryu, she made one of those as well!

Snorlax Door Hanger

Sunday, December 7th, 2014

This cute door hanger by Sew-Madd features a Snorlax doing what a Snorlax does best!

Snorlax Door Hanger

If that doesn’t say “do not disturb” then I don’t know what does. Sew-Madd stitched this using waste canvas on a pre-cut felt hanger. Great idea and good job!
