Amigurumi Yoshi… costume!

Wednesday, October 22nd, 2014

The Escapist said, “In honor of Nintendo’s recently announced yarn-spun platformer, Yoshi’s Woolly World, SmallRiniLady spent 35 hours crocheting a Yoshi costume.” Wowie zowie. I think it’s pretty amazing! I also found this photo while searching for info:

Um, and this one:

It looks like they had fun! Apparently this was all at PAX Prime last month in Seattle.

WoW amigurumi

tinyAlchemy has created two original amigurumi figurines from World of Warcraft. This worgen is ten inches tall, with poseable arms and legs:

And this tauren is 7 inches tall.

tinyAlchemy says, ” I used my friend’s character as a reference to keep proportion and details. He is…made out of acrylic yarn. His arms and legs are poseable ( I made thread joint for his limbs – so you can make him sit or put his hands up). The mane and braids are made out of wool for felting.”

Pretty cool stuff.

We see a lot of Pokemon around Sprite Stitch, crafted in all sorts of unique ways. I’m not sure I’ve seen anything quite like these before! They’re called “Poke-cubes” and are knitted cube-shaped plushies, all handmade by Lorna of P1X3LKnitting.

These little guys, along with a whole bunch of other Poke-cubes (including an Onix, which gets auto+1 from me) and some other very nice knitted items are all on sale in the P1X3LKnitting Etsy store – go check it out!
