I tried to think of some words to introduce this hat, but nothing suitable came to mind. So I’ll let the picture do the talking!
This glorious creation was made by Tumblr user Hooking Havoc. If you feel like you need this in your life, you can buy the pattern on Hooking Havoc’s Etsy!
Somebody awesome built this fantastic Mario display out of food cans.
I can’t even imagine how long this must have taken, or how difficult it would have been to build, but it is impressive!
HornyPig from the forums stitched this awesome image of the great Lord Helix.
Lord Helix, an Omanyte (and later an Omastar), featured prominently in Twitch Plays Pokemon. The sprite that HornyPig stitched was created by hamigakimono.
Stitchmond from the forums stitched these marvellous Mario powerups.
He says, “I did the Super Mario World suits and powerups in backstitch style, like blackwork, except using the normal color palette instead of all black.”
I like that each colour has its own blackwork pattern, and it gives a very interesting effect to the sprites!
The maker wrote a how-to guide so everyone can have a Thwomp (if they want one, that is. And why wouldn’t you?) I have to say, I never thought of using concrete for a craft project!
