Perler Bead Bracelets

Saturday, March 8th, 2014

Uenki makes some pretty cool video game themed perler bead bracelets… I was slightly worried about how strong these would be, but it looks like there is a clear plastic support inside for stability.

I chose a pacman and a pokemon one but there are plenty more on flickr!

Multi-Layer Video Game Perler Beads

Thursday, March 6th, 2014

Danny Yama makes a unique style of perler bead characters… I really like the multiple layers to give the characters some thickness and depth. He has many more examples on his flickr page but I’ve chosen to include my favorites of megaman and link. I think the best part about making them three layers thick is that they stand up all by themselves.

These gigantic Samus vs Cacodemon pieces were created for the 2014 AGDQ to support the Prevent Cancer Foundation.  So if you would like to own either of these, donate during the appropriate times and you could be drawn.  You can find a schedule here. (The Xbox controller is thrown in for scale.)

And finally, this is Wind from Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin.
