cakester made this sweet megaman vs. cutman stitching using a long stitch. Its a single up down stitch using all 6 strands of floss. An interesting method for everyone out there who is sick of making Xs. Also at one stitch per pixel instead of two, I imagine it would be quite faster for creating large pieces of work.

I actually like this technique better, as it duplicates the scanline look of CRT monitors.

oh that’s cool! it looks kinda like tapestry, which I wish I could do but looks too hard. So I’d totally try that (if it weren’t midterms time).

i believe its aida, you can ask cakester on the forum…

Thought I’d better pop on and mention that it’s still 2 stitches per pixel and also that it’s canvas rather that aida, I have no idea what the count is though.

oh, that makes sense, you need to vertical stitches per pixel to make it a square. duh.
