I would buy them. They are bad ass.

  2. I’m amused that the walyou page calls it a “gadget.”

  3. I would wear these everywhere.

  4. Ahahahah. XDXD I’d totally buy those! But. . . probably not for 12$. D: Weird socks are definitely my thing.

  5. “I do not recommend that you buy this…why? because its ugly. and ugly shouldn’t cost $12.”

    hahahah that’s funny stuff

  6. maybe those comments of mine came off a little harsh. oops!

  7. I dunno about these ones, i’d probably make my own, but nicer ;p

  8. Liquidkarma

I would probably buys these…but not pay $12..that’s insanity!

  9. I don’t really think that someone would GET that those are supposed to be warp zone socks. They just kind of look… odd.

And also, 12 dollars can get you many more pairs at Target. And they’re cuter.

  10. Why not? I would totally wear them.

  11. Ok, you guys bashing the $12 price tag are insane. You do realize that, right?

Yeah, as liquidkarma mentioned you can buy a lot of socks for that at Target. But…these are obviously not mass-produced socks. If you want a unique thing that isn’t mass produced and looks like what everyone else has…it’s going to cost more than a pair of white gold toed socks.

That’s how it works. Want something unique, produced by hand or in small batches? It costs more. These should actually cost WAY more than that.

I think what a lot of you are really saying is: that you just don’t like them. That’s fine, but that doesn’t mean they’re overpriced.

Here’s a trick- ask your grandma to hand knit you some mario socks instead- the only other way to get super specialized footwear. Then explain that for her 4-5 hours work you’re willing to pay her $12. See how that goes over.

Sorry for the rant, and no I’m not affiliated with who made them. That just slayed me to post about an awesome specialized thing and then bitch about it because it costs more than going out and buying regular socks.

  12. Phoenix understates the case, if anything. As a knitter, I can tell you it takes about 16 to 20 hours for me to make a pair of plain socks. These would have taken much longer because of the colourwork. If the knitter wanted minimum wage for that time, these socks would cost well over $100. If you don’t like them, fine, they’re not really to my taste either, but they’re definitely not overpriced.

  13. eh. there is no chance these are being made by hand.

I’m not saying $12 is too much for a handmade sock. I’m saying $12 is too much for something ugly, no matter if it takes a machine 5 seconds to make it or someone 5 hours.

if you like them, then its just a difference of opinion.
