  7. Thanks to everyone! And for anyone wanting to know about where I found the cloth, I got it on Ebay of course! lol 🙂

  8. So well done. Very impressed!

  9. And the picture is only 500 pixels by 141 pixels! 🙁

  10. Very nicely done 🙂 My Mom has been quilting and doing macrame for 30+ years, and she loved it too…

  11. Jizzmopper

the piranha plants in super mario 1 are not red they are GREEN you idiot. ALSO there are no BOOS in mario 1. FAIL

  12. Dude, I’ve never seen that lvl before, I think you did it wrong.

  13. That is possibly the coolest thing ever in the history of mankind :O It should go in a Mario museum or summat 😀

  14. Pyotr:
I know! I’m working on it, I promise! It’s just so huge I hate to try to piece it together with a scanner cause I know I’d never get it lined up right! Was thinking I’d try to get in touch with a photographer I know and see what he could do. 🙂

  15. so much hate…you get stumbled and all the haters come commenting. sgoheen wasnt trying to make a screenshot of the level, she created her own version with sprites she liked…

ah, the joys of the internet.

  16. sgoheen, in case you’re wondering…you got stumbled, and there’s been about 38,000 hits here in 24 hours…

  17. 5×2 holy cow! How many hours(days/weeks..lol) did that take you?Did you make the pattern yourself?Very cool.

  18. johloh:
Thanks so much for the defense! and OMG I got stumbled?!?!?! Holy crap that’s cool, lol And no worries, they don’t bother me. If they’d read the notes for the piece on my site (not like you didn’t put up a link to it!) they’d know I made it to my own specifications and not after any specific level! Thanks so much for putting me up here, it’s awesome that so many people have gotten to see it! 🙂

    Funny Video Guy:
Yeah but instead of a museum it’s going in a 5 year old’s bedroom, lol 🙂 Thanks so much!

    Jess:
Here’s some approximate stats for you!
    5 foot long x 2 foot tall
    Size 14 aida (cornflower blue)
Approximately 200 hours (over the course of 6 or 8 months)
    397 yards of 3-strand thread
    Just under 50,000 stitches
15 colors and some metallic gold accents

  19. Impressive….

  20. Epic… Genius… Fanatic… There isn’t a word to describe your devotion to Mario… I love it.

  21. Fantastic…my son wants it framed on his bedroom wall!

  22. This is awesome. I’ve done a little cross stitch in my day, and couldn’t even imagine how long this must have taken.

Oh, and I apologize for the dumb-ass stumblers. We’re not all brain-dead. 🙂

  23. Scott: hehe He would have to save his allowance a long time before he convinced me to try one of that size again, lol, and thanks! 🙂

  24. I’m struggling to find the pattern anywhere for this? Is it available on sprite?
