If you stitch over 2 on 28 count, you use every other hole, so it will look like 14 ct aida. If you stitch over one, it is very tiny, but works fine. I stitched this with one strand x's over 1 on 28 or 30 count, don't remember:

Well, if the point would be to get it smaller than Aida, I'd have to stitch over one. Would I then use one thread, instead of two together?

Also, I love that Neo Cortex!! Man, I miss Crash Bandicoot :(

Yes, I would use one thread. It is small enough that the white space doesn't show through. I've even used one thread for 22 count.

Currently working on the Epic Pokémon Stitch Generation I but as soon as I finish it this will be my next project! The huge map and the mini maps!

If it's not too much to ask, can anybody switch the pdf version into a black white version of stuff? If not I understand, I just prefer to print my copy in black and white and open the color copy on my computer while I work.

Thank you ahead of time if you can and if not that's still okay!

I look forward to sharing my progress.

No problem; happy to see someone else dive into these :)

I still plan to start the title screen at some point here, I bought the thread for it... and i've already bought fabric for the full map and the Special screen (had to order 18 ct black for that) so... it's almost like i've started? haha. Maybe next month!

Thank you so much! The colored ones don't print well on the black/white printers at school. And I might as well print there since I get like 600 pages per semester.

i hope all of the users involved in this epic project have not abonded it!
i started with the yoshi map since it is my first project on 22 count aida. so far it has gone well with just a couple of mistakes. i tried to stitch the main map (24 by 23 inches!) on a hoop and got frustrated with the thread getting caught on the over hanging fabric, so i am holding off on that one until i can get a scroll frame large enough to hold it. i will post a wip of the yoshi map once i get the main green color (dmc 703) mostly finished.
WIPs:
Super Mario World Map: 25ish %?
Super Mario Mini Maps: Yoshi= restart. . .oy

a little later than i had hoped, but here are my wips so far.
This one is the yoshi map. I put it down for a bit and started to get the blue sea on the cloth. it is not as frustrating as i thought it would be, and it has been good practice for the main map.

Speaking of the main map, i finally put down some stitches for that one too. i ended up making my own scroll frame because i had a nagging urge to at least start it. chapter one in that odyssey:

Those look great! No, we haven't forgotten or abandoned it.:) I'm almost finished my star road map- maybe another week will see it finished- and then I'll move on to Yoshi's Island. In the meantime, when my eyes need a break from 28 ct fabric, I'm working on Starry Night and the Stained Glass Lord of the Rings series.
