need help making a few keychain-size sprites

Post by Sharantyr »

Hello, figured I'd go ahead and make a request for some help. My church today announced a new fundraiser in order to raise money for local and global charities. Instead of asking everyone just to donate, they handed out envelopes with some money in it, my husband and I each got 10, and they want everyone to try to make that money grow by December. We decided that I could maybe make some cross stitch video game keychains, and he could try to sell them at his work. Well, I got my first request, and it might be a bit harder to do, so I figured I'd ask you guys for some help. A friend of ours requested a Diablo or a Guybrush Threepwood (from Monkey Island) keychain. Guybrush would probably be easier than Diablo, but if either one would work. Maybe big enough for a 2in keychain, or a bookmark. I prefer to work in 18 count aida, but 14 or 16 count would be fine too.

Thanks in advance
Shar

Hello,
Here are a few Diablo examples. I have a feeling they would be too much detail for a small keychain/bookmark, but I figured I'd post them anyway.

If you're looking for just the character sprites, I checked and Guybrush is about 2 by 3 inches. Let me know what characters you want and I can make a pattern sheet for you.

Since purcell's gonna handle the Monkey Island thing, I thought I'd have a look at Diablo stuff :D
How about this for a bookmark?

There's a lot of black, but you could always stitch it on black aida ^^

Awesome. Thanks guys. As for Guybrush, smaller would be better. under 2in preferably, any bigger, it would have to be a bookmark. Though a Monkey Island bookmark would be awesome. As for others, a Plants vs Zombies zombie would be cool, but probably too big for a keychain. I'm going to do a World of Warcraft bookmark too (I've been getting requests), made a pattern for the WoW logo that turned out good. Might put that and the Horde insignia on it. I saw the adorable horde characters on here, but I think they are too big.

Thanks for the help everyone,

Shar

Here's the standard sprite, just let me know if you need anything more or if it needs editing. As for PVZ, Stephaniem made a Sunflower and Peashooter that's about the same size.
