Gift ideas for a guy? (xstitch)

Post by biostitch2point0 »

I'm trying to start on Christmas gifts. This guy isn't all that into video games. He's German, loves soccer, One Piece, me ;)... I want to stitch something for him but I don't have too many ideas yet for the pattern, or even the purpose (keychain, shirt, etc). Just fishing for any ideas out there... How has your gift-making success been? Thanks in advance.

mmkay so I think just a cool gothic monogram would be cool... I wanted to make a key chain, but they don't sell those blank ones near me and I'm not up for online shopping. Is there some other way, or some other cool thing I could make...?

Mostly I've made something to go in a frame... I made a set of FFV White Mages for my ex-boyfriend as that was his job on FFXI at the time.

I know it may sound a little old fashioned but what about some kind of sampler containing all the things he likes? You could include a soccer ball, a german flag, something from One Piece, something that represents you, his name or initial, and more of the stuff you know is special to him and about him :)

A gothic monogram would be cool too though :D

I do believe that there have been a smattering of "One Piece" GBA and DS games, perhaps you could find some sweet Luffy sprites to whip into a project?

Maybe cross stitch something onto a baseball cap or beanie? I know I'd love a personalized beanie, but then again, I wear a beanie every day. Hope you think of something cool. Good luck!
