I can't change my trip date, as I'm going to the Final Fantasy Distant Worlds concert (again) at that time and it's all been booked!

Very punny, I like! And I may just play that card!

So, the talk of the ST stitchy book got me thinking about this thread again!
Naturally, I always watch some kind of ST and yet again it's TNG (it helps me concentrate while I stitch, been through all 7 seasons 2x while stitching my swap gift).
And not for the first time, I find myself questioning some decisions in the show!

Am I the only person who thinks this is awkward and/or wrong somehow?

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for inter-species relationships (God knows Kirk and Riker have, as my boyfriend puts it, ploughed enough aliens in their time) but with this I just get the general impression of a bear trying to get into a bees nest. I don't know what anyone was thinking at the time...not sure I want to know, actually.
Thoughts? Keep 'em as clean as you can!

Ha ha, "maul.png"? I know what you mean. It was pretty contrived.
DS9 Spoiler Alert:
Spoiler
Worf's marrying Dax in DS9 was slightly better, but still weird.
I don't think that Worf is emotionally available enough to be a good boyfriend/husband to anyone.
I'm not sure what I think about Troi and Riker getting married in Nemesis either. It sorta seemed like one of those pacts: "If we're both single at 55 we'll marry each other."
So, BMH, you watch TNG over and over, and I can't blame you because it's awesome, but have you watched all the other series as well? DS9 is really good, Voyager is really, really good, and Enterprise is really, really, really good. I'm sure some people won't agree with this, but they're worth a shot! (I apologize if we've discussed this before. My memory is swiss cheese.)

Yeah, except that I found I could live with him and K'Ehleyr - not just because of the whole Klingon thing, but she was definitely a match for him in many ways. Oh and I completely agree with your spoiler quote! :D

Hehe...I am now choosing to believe that is what they intended the whole time. Because it was inevitable!

Of course I have watched, and do watch them! (Even the movies, too.)
It's just that TNG is my ol' stitchin' buddy! Because I know it so well, it's like background noise in a way. And I always try to do as much as possible by the end of an episode!
However, I'm actually doing a double marathon of Voyager during the day, and TNG at night, just to mix it up a bit. :D

Klingon CPR can be disconcerting to the first-time observer...

I was never on board with the whole Worf/Troi thing myself, I thought it was a little too weird (but hey, whatever floats your boat).
I love TNG too, it's like an old friend, especially if I haven't watched it for a while. And funnily enough, as I type this, I'm watching Voyager. It's my dream for Data and Seven of Nine to cross paths somehow (that's a weirdly nerdy dream, isn't it?)!

Jonathan Frakes was in Adelaide in March :( couldnt go to that BUT I went to Oz Comic Con this past Saturday and saw the great Patrick Stewart himself. Was soooooo cool. Even better cause I had a media pass. :)

I thought Jonathan Frakes did Oz Comic Con also. Maybe he cancelled or something, or maybe I read it wrong, whatever! I did fill out an absentee pack to get Patrick Stewarts' autograph, but I don't know how that went...
