What would you recommend?

Post by peas_and_love »

I'm currently making a couple of presents for my cousins-in-law. The older cousin is having a badge but I'm not exactly sure what to do with the stitch I'm doing for the younger. He's five and I'm doing a tractor pattern with is 131 stitches wide and 120 stitches high on 22 count.

Could anyone recommend anything? I don't know if I want to use glass because he's only five but it's quite large so I don't know if I can use any other kind of framing.

Any thoughts would be much appreciated, thank you!

You could turn it into a beanbag or a kid sized pillow? I'm not sure what else you could do for a lil guy, but I know my daughter likes to feel the stitches with her fingers and enjoys beanbags and stuff like that. Not sure if that helps, though! :D

Making a small pillow is an interesting idea, the only problem is that he's a little boy and it might get ruined in seconds! Thanks for the ideas though :D

You could make an book. I have a pattern where you sew pieces of aida together to make a book. If you're interest, I could send you some pics/directions :)
