french cross stitch books

Post by petitcat »

Hello

For some time now I have been looking for someplace to get French cross stitch books, but I'm always told to go to amazon, and I really don't like using that site. When i finally find useful site, it's in French, and I don't speak French, i just think the selection of cross stitch book in French are a lot better that the ones in Danish.

so I would like to know if anyone, knows of a web site in English where they have French books.

I can see now that i re-read my post, that i did not make it clear enough what i was looking for, sorry about that.

the sites that i have found useful have mostly been these two:
http://echevette.over-blog.com/
http://aurelle.over-blog.com/20-index.html

I know that this is blog sites. but I still have found some good things on them.
The main reason I'm looking for books in French is that the selection in danish books are for the majority in either the nature category or the x-max. And yes there are also other books, but they just don't seem to have what i'm, looking for. I know that there are a big marked in English books, but i like the style of the patterns in the French better ( this must be down to the differences in the style each country have )
The kind of books i like to get my hands on are those with patterns that are not overly cute and on the same time not too big, i do stitch big patterns but only when theres a good reason for it, most of the time i just stitch for the fun of it :D
i have posted some links of the books i already have and that i use.

and in case of why i don't use amazon: they put 25% vat on books shipping to Denmark ( standard Danish tax....on every thing ). on top of that there are shipping and handling fees. so a book that it listed with the price tag of £15 jumps to almost £25 when i have to pay. so that's why i don't use it.

I hope this makes it more clear what i'm looking for, if not then just ask.

Yay, it's expensive indeed :blinky
If we command in France we can have the free shipment...
Shipment charges to Danmark are 16,15 euros (>= 1 kg), 17,85 euros (1-2 kg)...
I don't think it would be more interesting, alas... :-(
