How old is everyone?

I'm 22, and my Grandma introduced me to the magical word of XS when i was about 15.
Only around 3 years ago that i started to take it seriously. (when you get addicted to it, i guess you are taking it TOO serious! haha)
Today i'm on at least 3 projects, every time.
Finish one, start another.

I'm female and 27, I've been a gamer since I was 5. I currently own my original NES (that is 22 years old and still works... mostly. Sometimes it gets in a mood and won't work), original GameBoy, GameBoy Advance SP, GameCube, DSi XL, Wii, Sega Genesis, PSX and PS2. I also had an N64, but recently sold it because the only game on it that I cared about keeping/playing was Paper Mario, and I can download it on my Wii. My favorite game EVER is Super Mario Bros. 3, I never get tired of it. I also LOVE the Need for Speed series, but no one will play with me. Even my guy friends gave up cause I beat them too often

My mom has been cross stitching for years, and when I was younger I tried to get into it but I couldn't, I would get too frustrated if I messed up and I'd give up (I'm a Virgo, if I can't do it exactly right I don't want to do it at all! ). That, and I could never really find any patterns that interested me enough to stick with them. Then I discovered sprites, and my mom had HobbyWare Pattern Maker... so yeah, you can see where that went I never actually STITCHED any of the patterns til I did the Final Fantasy one a few weeks ago, and now I'm working on a pink dragon that I made from a DragonCave sprite - apparently I've gone and got addicted to the point that I've put down my games and my books. (Also an avid reader.)

I will be turning 19 this year, but I started cross stitching really young. My mother started getting my sister and I to cross stitch when we were young, by cross stitching the borders to her finish patterns. Then she just took scrap fabric and drew an out line and told us to fill it in. I enjoyed it and I work a stressful job, anyone who works costumer service will understand, and I find it really relaxing. I don't think cross stitching or any craft in general is gender specific, I am teaching one of my guy friends how to cross stitch and he enjoys it almost as much as I do.

16 and female. My grandma taught me how to embroider, and my mom taught me how to cross stitch. I used to be addicted to it and then I grew up some x.x But now that I've found this board, I've gotten re-addicted.

I'm 30 and female. I love that guys cross stitch. My two year old boy loves to help me. When I'm stitching he'll come over and say, "needle?" because he wants to help me pull the needle through.

I'll be 22 in 3 weeks (exactly!) and I'm female.

I've been cross stitching since elementary school.... maybe age 8? I've always done a project or two every summer so I never really "got out of it". I'm going completely nuts with it at the moment though, to the detriment of my health... (rist's wrist hurts ha ha).

I'm not /too/ much of a gamer, I always sat and watched my older brother. I do play Tetris and Super Mario Land 2 (for the original gameboy) religiously and I have a few other games from that era laying around. I have at least one game from every generation of Pokemon. And I'm dropping hints for some kind of Mortal Kombat game for my birthday -shifty eyes-

I'm 24, turning 25 in October. Gamer since I was little but not a huge gamer now. I'm a Trekkie-PokemonLoving-BrownCoat-Hufflepuff-VampireSlaying-DisneyPrincessAtHeart. lol. My husband and I are expecting our first daugther at the end of September so Cross stitching has taken a little bit of a back seat recently. If we were having a boy we were going to go with a Classic Mario theme for the nursery but because she's a girl, I wanted her to have a Winnie The Pooh theme like my nursery was. So much cute stuff now! I'm working on a Winnie the Pooh cross stitch but don't think it'll be done before she arrives.

I love being part of the forums, even if I only comment/post every few months. I still look lots and love being surrounded by such creative people! Keep up the great work everyone!

I just turned 24 last month. I've been a gamer since I was a little girl but it was mostly with Aladdin, Barbie and Sonic on the Sega Genesis. I didn't grow up with a Nintendo and I still can't get the hang of Mario (though I like the games!). I've recently rediscovered gaming since I moved in with my gamer boyfriend. So, yay me! I'm just an all around nerd.

I'm 34 and female. I've been stitching for well over 20 years now, I learned from my grandma and I still use her old hoop. Both my husband and I work in the videogame industry (he's a reviews editor, I do game localization), so we have every possible game system and every possible title and all sorts of nerd friends (I also play D&D and other pen-and-paper RPGs, so I'm like the Queen of Nerds ) My husband is super-supportive of my crafts (cross-stitching, sewing, quilting, knitting) and he himself has recently gotten into perler beads. I LOVE working from home and getting a 15-minute stitching break whenever the translation gets too hard!
