Fabulous idea or fail??

Would be a terrible, awful idea to get some Swarovski gems and glue them on my ds? I want to do Link, Zelda and a Triforce. I think it would be epic, but everyone around me just shakes their head and doesn't input anything, so I'm wondering if I'm just being silly. Of course these people are all guys who all own plain black DS's (not that there's anything wrong with that) and get them confused and mixed up all the time, because they all leave them out on the same table. My DS is the deep pink one, and honestly, if I've already gone ahead and gone pink, what's a little bling going to hurt?

I could just send my DS off to Crystal Icing, but why pay more than the DS is worth and not get to play with glue and shinies?

With some effort you could peel the gems back off... so why not? That's why I get piercings.

i put skins on mine to make it pop (i put skins on damn near every piece of technology i own at this point lol) it also prevents scratches - tho i have to say my ds was pretty well used before i skinned it

it's a little bit expensive (i've actually found a stall in a mall that sells this specific brand for cheaper, so for all the things i have skinned- ipod, iphone, wii, ebook, psp, etc etc - it hasn't been too too bad. plus all my stuff looks freaking awesome at the same time ;P)

Putting a stitching under that case would be tight! You're definitely going to have to post pictures if/when you do that.

I haven't found a skin that I like yet, but I hadn't seen that site yet, Stardrifter. I'm going to go browse now, but I think I'm leaning more towards going for the gem idea. XD Of course, now I really want a pierced DS.

I have skins on my PSP and GBA. It's not bad to pimp out your consoles
