Yeah...it's totally crazy! I looked into it and the only package that lets you share images is the Photobucket 500 level...which is either $40USD a month of $400USD a year. Even if I had that kind of money, I still wouldn't do it.
Thanks for the offer of help BMH! I have all my crafting pics in an album on my Google Photos drive, just waiting for me to take the time to get them more organized...then I think I will put links to the album(s) up. I'm getting some mad Google Photo album skills this summer thanks to work

How frustrating! It makes going through old posts a bit dull, are you able to edit existing posts to change them? Although that would be super tedious and not give a huge amount of benefit! At least your recent/future stuff will be visible. I guess their business model was hook people with a free service, let them make lots of links, then hope they would rather pay money than change a bunch of links... what a pain.Firehawke wrote:Hey all----as I'm sure you could see if you tried to look at my update pics, I got hit with the Photobucket policy change. I have backed up all of my past pics onto my Google Photos, so if you want to see any of those, just let me know!
I am currently planning on directly uploading my update pics directly to the forum for the foreseeable future (I haven't found a new image sharing site I like yet).
Thanks!

I totally agree!!! And the fact that they did it all of a sudden and it's such a big price hike...crazy!
I should be able to go through all my old posts and edit them...it's on my to do list once I find an image hosting site that I like (I'm being uber picky right now ).

Re: Firehawke's crafty obsession...non-video games!
Thanks guys!!!
I'm planning on (theoretically) 10 colors...Cream, Rosy Cheeks, Sea Blue, Periwinkle, Light Sage, Mid Green...and 4 colors to be determined, hopefully later this week as a reward for getting my taxes finished (as long as the weather cooperates...we are supposed to get rain later this week!!!). The plan is 2 get 4 slightly warmer versions of yellow, pink, purple, and blue to offset the grayer toned versions (already have the green...I came in under budget and went back for another skein before I even left the store ). And I'm thinking the big set of rounds near the border will be a green. I want this blanket to make me think Spring! And it turns out it's matching the colors of my Easter decorations

I was able to make it to Hobby Lobby and Thursday and picked up the last 4 colors...Buttercup, Soft Pink, Hot Orchid, and Glacier!
Part 2 is done...and all of the colors have been used!
Round by round colors and pics are found on this blogpost!

This is looking very nice. I like your slightly more subdued colors choices, too. Crochet is one of those things enjoy seeing, but don't like doing. I try it every once in awhile, but I could never quite figure out how to hold the yarn comfortably at an even tension and I also always caused myself wrist fatigue. Don't get me started on counting stitches in a round in dark colors. *shrugs* Oh well, I'd probably just cover all my bookshelves in nerdy amigurumi if I could. (Who am I kidding, that would be awesome. lol.)

I've seen that pattern, I think it is somewhere on my to-do list.
