While we were vacationing in Nashville, I noticed a very popular piece floating around all the tourist stores. They had taken a tapestry and woven in fiber lights from the back. I'm pretty sure it would work really well with cross stitch. The fiber lights should fit though the holes and it can be tacked in place with the existing stitches. I nearly bought one of the tapestry pieces so I could deconstruct it and figure out exactly what electronics they used, but they were SO expensive (and ugly to boot). Eventually I'm going to dig around the internet or radio shack and find out how to wire up/use the lights!

I'm glad you like it! Thanks for saying so.
I hope you enjoyed your stay in Nashville. I live right outside of Nashville.
