Re: Super Mario World Map WIP
Finished! Now I need to figure out my matting/framing.
The speckles in the fabric are actually just the chair showing through from the flash; the black looks very solid and nice in person.

Re: Super Mario World Map WIP
Thanks! I used my new mat cutter to cut a tan mat, and a 12 x 16 frame from Hobby Lobby gives me this:

Re: Super Mario World Map WIP
I dyed some 18 count aida navy for the Star Road map!
It's not quite the blue that 791 would have been, it's closer to 311, but it looks pretty close to the color on the screen so I think it will be fine.
For anyone interested, I used half of a packet of Dylon - Jeans Blue.

Out of all the maps for this project, this is the one that I'm looking forward to the most.

Re: Super Mario World Map WIP
Update: almost done with the center column! I'll scroll to the left next and finish that half of the star I think, then the right half, then I'll do the cloud edges last.

Update; been a while on this one, since I switched over to a charity quilt square and some other projects. Got some good stitching done today though while watching Game of Thrones.
