Zack from FFVII

Hello to all! I've just started a project with Zack from Final Fantasy VII for a friend of mine. I'm a fan of the character, but she's a really big fan, to the point where she named her cat after him among other things. I don't get to see her very often, but I knew I wanted to stitch this up as soon as I found the pattern.

Pattern from GATCHASTITCH. It's called Zack "In Stitches" and it's just adorable.

I've gotten a little further than this tonight, but I took a pic when it suddenly struck me that anime hair in-progress looked a lot like the Sydney Opera House.

Hopefully I'll get some more time to work on this later in the week, although I know that work is going to be a beast.

I really love her Blackwork Pokemon series. If she ever did a Ninetails, I think I would be slain.

Further progress... as it actually begins to look sort of like a head.

Oh, I'll absolutely post the finish! I got a lot more work done on him tonight, but there's still hours to go. Then I have to figure out a border that satisfies. I'm thinking yellow flowers. That'll probably give my friend quite a few feels (as well as not being overly complicated).

...and I will definitely have to stalk your blog for more than your pretty progress and finish pics. >.> Because I am a simple Jenn with pretty tastes, and Ninetails just makes me swoon.

Dooooone, I am delighted to say! I just finished the last of the border this evening. Now I need to find a cheap frame at the dollar store and wrap him up for his recipient.

I went with a lil yellow flower border for the ones that grow on his "grave". And, well, I just wanted to play with borders, which I'd never really done much before.
