I have been converted to the Cult of the Precut Plastic Canvas Purse. As soon as my many money issues settle, I am making myself one. Just think of how many geek girls would go nuts for well made purses like the Zelda one! Fantastico.

Believe it or not, most of the gaming patterns that I use come from the walkthrough for "Mario Paint" for Super Nintendo. It is based on coloring blocks and makes it very easy to transfer the pattern to canvas. The purses are relatively simple to make. You can buy the pre-cut canvas at most hobby shops. Here is what it looks like when I first start.

This is about half way finished.

And this is the finished product. I used some gold satin to line the inside of the purse and give it that extra "Zelda" feel. I will post the pattern once I get it scanned on my computer :link

Thanks for the instructions! :D

Wow interesting ideas, I've also never seen it pre cut like that before.

If anyone finds the pre-cut purse online please post a link as I have a sneaky suspicion that, as with everything else, I will have a hard time finding one in Australia!

Here is the second one I am currently working on. I have 2 small patterns I used for this one. It is difficult to show a pattern for these since most of it is my own design. It takes several rounds of stitching and unstitching for me to be happy with the end product. Purses are one of my favorite things to stitch on canvas! You get to show a little of yourself in each one :taunt:

Shazbang, you can buy the precut purses at spotlight. The sizes range from change purse size to about a clutch

I am working on setting up a store on Etsy but I am having trouble putting a pricetag on my Zelda purse. It is completely unique, which makes it difficult to find similar items to compare prices. I will upload a picture of the inside when I get home this evening to show the lining on the inside. Any suggestions? How much should I charge for something like this?
Thanks in advance!
