I am so glad where I have just moved it is a Spotlight near me <3
http://www.sewitall.com.au - They have a great range and only $3 postage. As for if it is the right dimensions I am not sure.. You could email and ask if more needed?
Also if you do smallish projects on linen often, their grip-n-stitch is awesome.
Yeah I've found most craft shops in Aus cater for just about everything EXCEPT cross stitch lol it's such an annoyance!
I checked sewitall but I think the dimensions mustn't have been right or something so I looked elsewhere. I have been eyeing off the grip-n-stitch though, so it's good to have positive feedback from someone who has used it! =)

Sooo...I decided to join in on making a square, although I'm 5 days away from my due date...and basically can pop at any moment, I'm up for it. The deadline is months away and since Christmas I've had no projects with deadlines...I'm a lazy sort and so even though I have a few kits I can be doing instead, not having a time limit in which to have to complete them makes me less likely to do so.
I don't know how having a baby will affect me yet, but I'm ready to start the square now while we patiently wait for her, and work on it a little at a time until it's finished. I'm also knitting her a baby blanket and sometimes my hands want to do something other than knit!

I'm sorry I missed it the first time guys. I didn't see that she had changed the square. That rule is aimed at people that want to take different elements or different characters from parts of a game and combine them into one square. We don't want that. We want an actual screen shot, title screen, or even a character portrait (like some of the amazing ones like Halo in the past). The clouds in the background are fine. I agree I think it makes it pop and look good. We all will make little adjustments and not have exact pixels per stitch. As long as it is true to form (no adding in a princess in the background) and makes it look better, I completely agree with the change.
Thank you for clearing this up. I was starting to have questions about my own square since it wasn't from the game itself but just a close-up of Q-Bert on some of the squares (and also the kiddo's Vanellope square). I was second-guessing myself even though I knew the characters were "recognizable" and shouldn't have been a problem. lol
I'm done with my first square! I can't say that I'm please with all of the colors. The rug and stone work is just dark and you can't really tell them apart. Oh well. It's done and isn't that bad
On to the next square!

FF6: Despite looking a little dark, no problem seeing and differentiating the colors in the FF6 one, so it turned out very good. Love their comical expressions too.
Duck Hunt: That blue sky took a long time huh? Tediously boring. But your efforts were well worth it. Back is very beautiful too. I like seeing how backs come out just as much as the fronts, great job on both sides.
I've not gotten much done recently due to my "needle" hand getting some pains, so I decided to back off on my stitching this weekend. This weekend I'm going to try and pick up the colors I need.
Wow they look great!
I'm still waiting on my aida to arrive but hopefully I can get started sometime this week!
My backs never look that neat! How the eff do you do that?! I've gotten to the point where they're not a mess of knots and loose threads but they're never as neat as that!
