Re: Charity Quilt(s) 2013
I wasn't sure if I should create a new topic for this, but I just wanted to share my progress on my Chrono Cross square. The colors are a tad bit brighter in person, but it's fairly close. I'm also doing it page by page, so that's why it looks pretty rectangular.
Also, I noticed that it looks like in the picture that there's a yellowish stain, but it's not there. I promise.

Re: Charity Quilt(s) 2013
Wow, 10 pages already... I go on vacation for 1 week or so and look how much I miss!
I don't think I'll be signing up this year - I REALLY enjoyed working on my squares last year but am not sure that I can commit the time this year (school/work -> graduation -> moving -> new job, etc). So... Best of luck everyone! And if you're on the fence and trying to decide if it's worth participating, it is. It's a lot of fun to see a group of people around the world all come together with a common goal AND create something awesome, not to mention the charity fundraising ;)

I finally got the correct size of fabric needed so I'll be happy to finally start on them. I even measured and counted it out and it's perfect!

WOW! Everyone's squares are looking great already! so fast! I'm trying to decide what I should make a pattern for.. Something I really enjoyed playing this year. Possibly Lollipop chainsaw orrrr something Bit.Trip.. I should probably finish last years square as its half done already but I have a ton of ripping out to do and that is just such a downer way to pick up a project.

Cool! Quackshot! That is one of my favourite games.Alondria wrote:I am hoping to sign up for this, I just wanted to check that this would be okay, since it is an old game. It looks just a little off but I think that is due to the pixilations.
(I hate to point it out, but the image you have there isn't tall enough. The image needs to be a minimum of 96 x 96 pixels big)

Ah, I am pleasantly surprised that nobody has chosen to work with a Spyro game yet. Maybe because it's somewhat difficult to get a good, stitchable screenshot from the PlayStation games. I got a couple that I liked from Spyro the Dragon:

Then I looked for something from a GBA game, because I figured an image from a game with rendered 3D images doesn't lend itself very well to cross-stitching. These are from Spyro: Season of Ice.

My personal favorite is the one with the balloon, closely followed by the fairy kiss and flight images. I'm not sure which of these five will be best for a quilt square, though. What do you all think?
