You're very welcome MeiTow. The program that can print to PDF's like that is not an overly large thing and it makes PDF's the standard for printing even if you have a printer. And if you want to print something all you have to do is select the printer rather than PDF and it will print to the printer. If you want to look for something like that search free pdf converter. It makes it so much easier!

Re: Charity Quilt(s) 2013
Hey all!
A little help, if you please. I can't decide between two screenshots for the game I'm doing for the quilt, Crystalis (NES). Both shots are iconic in the game, the first where the protagonist enters the game, and the second from the ending.
Anyone have any preferences? I'd love to do either. Choices, choices...
EDIT: Thanks to those who helped me decide. I'll be doing the second scene, the image from the game ending. Now just waiting for my Herrschners order to arrive, then I can get started!

I like both, but I have to say I do prefer the second image!

Re: Charity Quilt(s) 2013
I'd like to do this but (so far) I don't have much interest in making a pattern or picking out a game, so if someone has a spare pattern they want to throw out there I'll snatch it up <____< If not I understand. Maybe I'll think of something in a few months.

Re: Charity Quilt(s) 2013
Can I just confirm, despite allowing some slight differences in 16ct size (1 stitch under one direction and 4 in the other):
We are doing this to 96sq exactly, not to 6inch exactly? We don't want to make a pattern to compensate?
Just want to check (though, i guess adding rows isn't as hard as taking them away lol).
If that is the case I am all set to go! The material size seems massive though >>;

I found 2 rolls of 15"x18", off-white, 16 ct (true 16 ct in both directions!), Charles Craft aida at Goodwill for $.50 each with green price stickers, on a green half-price day. So...I got my fabric for both of my squares for this for $.53. He|| to the yeah!

You want to do a 96x96 stitch. If there is up to 1/4 inch difference in the size, that is ok, I can compensate for the difference when I quilt it.Ishtar wrote:Can I just confirm, despite allowing some slight differences in 16ct size (1 stitch under one direction and 4 in the other):

As I have explained a few times (including in the directions), the extra fabric is neccessary. I will wash all of the pieces when I get them together in the same way to prevent shrinking after the quilt is made. We all know that aida will unravel some when washed. I then need to "squareup" the pieces by cutting some of the excess off to make them uniform in size. I need at least 2-3 inches on each side after doing this to allow room for the quilting.
Nice job Link!! That is always awesome when you get stuff for little money.
