I have started my entry! despite the mountains of assesment... I will have time to work on it properly near the end of the month, but It feels good to have something to admire. I am using fancy fabric so that I wont have to stitch the background, and have chosen a game where things glow. hopefully it will look like a proper scene with lights on or off!
I am known across campus as "The girl who knits in lectures"
I have finished the top! I am at my husbands for another week and then I can pin and quilt it! I am so excited for this quilt. I can't wait to see how it will look when I take pictures.
I'm just now able to start working on this challenge, so I'm glad that we had 2 months. I've thought about what to make all last month, and for the most part I just keep coming up blank... it would be helpful if glow in the dark thread was clear. Then you could really do some cool stuff. Unless it really does exist - I guess I should do some more research. At any rate, I am determined to enter this challenge. It's time to dust off the old thinking cap.

GHOSTBUSTERS!
I made this magnet with 10 mesh plastic canvas and embroidery floss including the glow in the dark thread. The pattern was one from a Ghostbusters game that I found on Spriters Resource which I edited to this.
The glow effect is hard to get a picture of, hence why it is blurry and looks weird but oh well I had fun making this!
Haha thats funny! Great minds think alike I guess.
I set it in the sun for a whole day and ran and found the darkest corner of my house and quickly took the picture. It took about ten tries to get anything decent.
