Batgirl
So here's my new project that I'm making for my baby girl's room. The pattern is here viewtopic.php?f=5&t=6733
And here's a bonus pic of my cat trying to eat my cross stitch.
Sorry for the bad pictures next time I'll take them in the sunlight.

Re: Batgirl
I can't stitch today (bad day, lack of sleep and a headache) so I decided to take the time to update my Batgirl progress.
I fall more in love with this pattern as I go! However my pattern is covered in pen marks from all the adjustments I've made. I may have to update the pattern when I'm done.

Re: Batgirl
Another update...
But I need some help. Batgirls's utility belt is barely visible. You can actually see it better in the pic then in real life.
I'm thinking I should find a darker "mustard" colour to outline just the belt in (the pale yellow is dmc 3823 & the mustard yellow is dmc 676). Any ideas to help me out?
BTW the bat symbol glows in the dark.

Re: Batgirl
I know it isn't how the original picture is, but I would actually fill the area in with the yellow to get it to stand out more. I always find it difficult for yellow to show against pink.

Re: Batgirl
After looking at my work again I think your solution may be best. The bat symbol is in glow floss so I'll look for a similar colour in regular dmc floss & try that (I'm trying to keep the colours simplified for the look I'd like at the end). I think that shade of yellow will be bright enough to stand out.tnitnetny wrote:I know it isn't how the original picture is, but I would actually fill the area in with the yellow to get it to stand out more. Another update:
I can't believe how fast I'm stitching. I hope I can finish this before Monday though because I go back to work full-time and I have Christmas presents to stitch so no time for Batgirl

She's finished!
Now to wash, iron & frame her. I don't know if I can do it.
