That's what I've been looking for and I don't know that either as there are no photos of them actually in the dark...

Wow, I didn't even think about other glow colors! All I've got access to (without shopping online) is the plain white that glows green. Luckily, my project idea calls for white floss, otherwise I would be totally bummed to be stuck with it haha
I'm really excited to see other projects with different glow colors though!

I was really excited about that glow floss the other day...until I noticed it wasn't able to be separated and since I don't embroider, I didn't feel it was worth the $19.50 shipped.

Oh, ick. It can't be separated? Bleh. I didn't look at it because I didn't want to be tempted but wow, $19.50 is pretty crazy.LinkIsMyHomeboy wrote:I was really excited about that glow floss the other day...until I noticed it wasn't able to be separated and since I don't embroider, I didn't feel it was worth the $19.50 shipped.

THe reason it can't be seperated is cause it's a braid, not a stranded floss.

I ordered sewing thread, and I was just planning on using two strands anyway. But yeah, shipping. Mine was just over $15 for shipping, which was 3 times the cost of the thread. Grrrr

Re: OCT - NOV Challenge - Glow in the Dark!
I started a piece (yay) but it's not likely to be done soon - assignments and readings galore in grad school! - but I am really excited. I'm also doing black-work for the glow part but it's not going to be as dramatic as what's been posted already.
The colored threads that I found were DMC "white" and Artiste metallic "white" and "pale green" (that pale green that's typical of glow stuff). I thought I saw other colors but they were just florescent, so oh well. I'm excited to see how the colors look Nightshade, I may ask you for the vendor info later :D
If someone is needs help getting materials send me a PM. I live in the central US and there are three craft stores in my town. I'll ask you to send me money via post or paypal (if I can figure that out).

Hm, I separated mine and it worked okay. It gets tangled really easily, but if you keep tension on it, it works.
Current projects: blackwork Macintosh, Super Mario World - Star Road map, Super Mario World - Full Map!

I got 6 different colours from a ebay seller and it only cost about $15 including about $5 for postage, I think it was from a us seller. http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com/viewitem ... 0848997187 this ( I hope ) is the link, the listing has ended but the seller might relist.stitchandpaddle wrote:TheBean wrote:Oh, ick.
