Update for Star Road. It doesn't look like I've done much, but the clouds are being stitched and they're the same colour as the fabric.

Mine is done on 28 count, so the stitches are actually really small and the whole thing is only 6"X8". But I bought my fabric at Michael's. You can get some fairly big pieces of fabric in stores.

Ahhh, that's why. I tend to use 14 count, I've never gone anywhere near that small. Everywhere I've looked, places don't have giant sheets of the 14 count. Online they're all backordered, so I'm hoping to find a place that does bigger ones soon.

I know you can get large pieces of fabric at Joann's fabric. They charge by the yard. The have it on a roll where they have fabric. I got some there at one time. They cut it for you.

This is the first time I've stitched on 28, and it's actually rather difficult to see what I'm doing. :banghead:

I've only done one thing on 28, and I had to hold it about 6 inches from my face to work on it. Lots of neck pain, lol.

I have had the biggest dilemma over what count to stitch these maps on. I prefer 18; and I only have black 18, so that makes it seem like the obvious choice for the Special map. But, I want all of them to be the same, and if I do them on 22, they will be nicely sized (~8x10).

Waah. Complain. :banghead:

I will probably give in and do 18 at least for the "mini" maps, even though they'll be bigger, because I'll enjoy making them more. If i finish all the little ones in some number of years and decide to start the full map, I'll revisit the size question at that point.
