Re: Stitching for Charity 2012
Ok, I am going to keep this open until Wednesday for the fabric vote. I can then head to the quilt store Thursday to pick up the fabric. So if you haven't voted, then vote.

Re: Stitching for Charity 2012
I admit, I like both the green and blue but I think the blue will work out better because it's a primary color so that got my vote ;) Thanks for photographing the samples for us!

Re: Stitching for Charity 2012
Can you do one in blue and one in green?

No, I want the fabrics to be the same for both quilts each year. I could always buy both fabrics and do them both in one color this year and then another next year. Maybe change the fabric every year to make them more unique?

Re: Stitching for Charity 2012
Ok, so it looks like light blue and a lot of people likes the green as well. I will buy both and use the light blue this year and then the green next year!
Now to get started on this tomorrow.

Sounds like an awesome idea! Maybe the same person who bought it last year will buy it this year and that way we're giving them variety!

Re: Stitching for Charity 2012
Been working on the certificates and I just wanted to share what I have so far. Here is a preview (it's been resized so apologies for any loss of detail).
Basic background, will be tweaked a lot to get it just right. Will probably also add faint logos behind the grid again, like last year
The grid itself isn't finished, as I haven't quite decided what colour and style it should be, however I'm leaning towards light rather than dark. Text is pretty much the same as last year's, again leaning towards light for the colour.
Thoughts and comments welcome, as it's not finalised and everything can be changed

I think the colors should stay a blue. I was thinking about this last night and maybe we should have the color of the certificate match the color of the quilt fabric? I love what you have so far.

It also strikes me that light blue is kind of the Sprite Stitch Board color ;) so it would "pull it all together" nicely.tnitnetny wrote:I think the colors should stay a blue.
