Completely agreed. I sit for hours working on that Final Fantasy IX stitch while listening to audio books. Been through the entire Harry Potter series, and am nearly done with Twilight. That's the only reason I've been zooming through it so fast.

Now I'm hoping to find another good audio book. Hopefully with an Irish accent. Irish accents are amazing. xD lol

That map Ninja is working on looks like it'll be amazing. The sprite work on that version of SMB3 was definitely upgraded.

I considered doing the opening map for Super Mario World once.

Don't know if I'll ever get around to it. :(

Yeah, I'm definitely somewhat regretting not doing the more updated maps, but at the same time, I prefer the classic original feel to mine. I think both of ours are gonna turn out great. Definitely let me know when you finish yours Ninja.

I'm trying to find the maps for Mario Advance 4 as well, but I can't find anything. If anyone else can find them, please post them here, thanks!

I'll also try and just get them on my own using... alternative methods. But I'm a procrastinator so that might take some time

AUDIO BOOKS!
Wow, I can't believe I never though about that for cross stitching.
I usually just do it to movies, or my boyfriend playing video games.

This is one of my secret stashes (which everyone probably knows about anyway), but just in case, here's a site dedicated to video game related maps.

Has maps of so many levels of so many games.

http://vgmaps.com/

Don't see ones for the Advanced version in particular, but the Super Mario All Stars for the Snes maps are amazing. :)

Yeah, I was looking through there, but the Mario All Stars maps are the same as the original SMB3, and the Mario Advance 4 maps are for the E-Reader maps. :\

You could always download a GBA emulator and the ROM, then take the screenshots yourself. :)

Oh! Audio books are a great idea. I usually put a DVD in. When I made Phoenix Wright I burned through most of the entire run of Arrested Development. I also "watched" a goodly chunk of Cowboy Bebop while working on the Dragon Warrior guys. Lately I'm putting on Buffy the Vampire Slayer (almost done with season 3).

I don't really see anything that's happening, unless I look away from whatever I'm working on at the moment. I'll have to start browsing the audio book section at the library.

That's what I meant by "other methods" but I remember on NSider, Rom discussion wasn't allowed, and I'm not sure if the same thing applies here or not
