@Knittenkitten - are you doing Pixel Art too? Or some other craft? 'Cause I'll agree on the hair shading, especially when recoloring a sprite, no matter the craft.

I'm also glad someone is doing back-story on theirs, I am too.

@m4pl3 - It's just cross-stitiching but I can understand pixelart too. I'm not sure if I'll ever play around with stitching long hair again. (oh who am I kidding, I will be doing it agian sometime in the future  ).

I think I'll wait til I have the other one done before I post pictures. These two kinda go together.

So I finished the Pixel Art entry of mine. For the record taking a sprite and trying to shade it to look like a statue is difficult!

[The extension bmp has been deactivated and can no longer be displayed.]

Sailor Moon is Idesta the Muse of Inspiration - The Spark that gives you an idea.
Sailor Mars is Daria the Muse of Dedication - The Will to see a project through.
Sailor Venus is Clymene the Muse of Creativity - The Ability to make a project your own.
Sailor Mercury is Mneme the Muse of Materials - To Know what you need for each project. (And helps you keep it organized - some of the time!)
Sailor Jupiter is Chthonia the Muse of Community - To Find those of like minds for encouragement.

Here is the statue sans background.

The scout sprites were found on Spriters-Resource but I can't remember which game atm.

Can we pattern it? :D Not that I'd be able to right now, but I totally want this as a future project!

So, I've got 2 dieties completed and just figured out a third one which I'll post later. But here's the first one.

She is the Goddess of Love. She is what makes us love doing our huge ( or tiny) projects during and after the whole process. Next is this guy.

He's the God of War. He is what makes us hate our projects because we are fighting with our thread, needles, fabric, etc.

She is made from Princess Whatshername from Earthworm Jim and he is made from Freedan from Illusion of Gaia. I got both sprites from Spriter's Resource I think.

Too bad we don't live closer Kuja!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE winding the thread onto the bobbins. I use the cardboard DMC floss bobbins and it goes pretty quick.

I feel ya! I got some boucoup Michael's gift cards Christmas 2010 and spent it all on DMC floss (got as many colors as I could so I could have them all!) and I just finished winding them all on bobbins in July of this year. Pain in my ass! But at least they're all finally wound and I am only missing 20 or so colors of all of them :D

And I'm glad patterns are going to be allowed for this one as I probably will not have time to stitch mine, but I do have a pretty cool idea (at least in my opinion).

lol that would have been quite the party ;)
I have maybe two-thirds of them wound now which means my entry had to take a back seat to organization this week. Turns out I was missing mostly greens and pinks, who knew! I do have a bobbin winder but I go faster if I do it by hand :)
