Completed Space Invaders Cross Stitch

Post by mary_jane »

Needed a project to get me through memorial day weekend. This was a lot of fun to do, I can't wait to see how it looks in a frame!

Wow, that looks great! Did you use three strands for this to get the colors to look so bold?

The purple and green on the black background look great, really brings it out.

I actually just used one strand! I cut the floss long and fold it in half to create a loop at the end and use that instead of a knot at the end to start my stiching - so it actually looks like two.

Thanks for the comments! I'm so pleased with how it turned out. Hopefully I'll be able to throw it in a frame soon and share the finished product.

I never knot it at the end when cross stitching, just tuck in tails. I only knot when I'm stitching through normal fabric.
