I agree, the colors turned out really well.
Just a reminder, for those that haven't sent them you now have 19 days to get me your squares. Those that are overseas should probably be sending me their packages today or tomorrow.

Thanks everybody! It was a lot of fun to stitch too. The blocks of colour were a nice break from my current project which is stitches all over.

Re: Stitching for Charity 2012
So, it's been a few interesting months and I moved back to Europe from California. I'm currently in Finland and I'm about to send my squares. Only, the second one is not complete yet. I'm trying to hurry up and finish it as soon as I can, but I wanted to hear the general opinion here before I make a decision. An American lady I know here told me that it takes anything between five and ten days for small packages to get to the US. Should I just send my first block (Okamiden, which I posted a few months ago), or try to finish the second one (Fez) as well?

...not really. I did a lot of work to my second piece today so I am catching up fast!
I'll send mine as soon as I can, once I do it should take 5 working days to get to you!tnitnetny wrote:Those that are overseas should probably be sending me their packages today or tomorrow.
I think it's up to you. If you're not confident you can do it quickly, maybe send the Okamiden one and try to finish the Fez one as soon as you can. If not, you can always save it for next year!Aelys wrote:An American lady I know here told me that it takes anything between five and ten days for small packages to get to the US. Also, you could try asking at the post office or the Finland equivalent (you do get around, don't you?

Woohoo! Glad they arrived!
I have so many things going out in the mail for crafting purposes, I never quite know what's coming or going!

You're so close! If you have the time in the next few days I say finish it!
If you want to ship something overseas FAST use UPS or FedEx. You will pay for it, but they will be faster and more are generally more reliable for shipping to different countries. This is because they retain custody of your package the entire time, unlike standard mail where the custody switches every time it enters a different country.
FedEx for example says it could ship something from Illinois, USA to London, UK in 2 days (priority) or 4 days (economy).
