Maybe around Christmas time, we could do a Secret Santa type of thing, but make stuff for those who made us gifts. We could start around November or something.

I'm not certain that it would be a good idea, because then what about other people that want to get in on it? also what about people that did the big swap, that didn't have time to make something?

BUUUT I do think it'd be awesome if we did another swap (albiet a small one!) for christmas =D

I wasn't able to participate in this big swap (and sorely disappointed) and I do plan to participate in the next one. So I'd appreciate if the next one was open to everyone :) Seems like you could just make an optional thank you gift for your buddy

Not trying to exclude anyone here, apologies if that's where you thought I was going with that.

When I got home today there was a package waiting for me!! It was big too!

TheLancemen had me! I opened the box and saw an afghan looking at me, I got soooo excited and immediately opened it up and was very happy to see Mario!

Close up of the squares:

When I opened it up I found two other gifts. Jam from his local farmers market (that looks very tasty):

And a set of final fantasy magnets! They are double sided too which is really really cool. I can't figure out how you did that:

I know you were worried about making me an afghan (being the quilt lady) but I absolutely love it!! I don't have any afghans and it is nice to have something different then quilts for my bed. I love everything and thank you thank you sooooo much!!

Pretty sure I already said this :D

@tnitnetny and TheLanceman: that afghan is amazing! It looks so soft and snuggly. And the magnets are great! :D

Man, I don't know how long it takes to make one of those squares, but it gives me hope - I can't quilt (no machine), and I can't knit (no acumen), so if I can just figure out a crochet hook... !

Wow, how many balls of yarn did that take? Awesome blanket!
RMDC, once you get into the swing of it, crochet is quite easy! It took me a month to get the hang of crochet, whereas I had my late grandmother trying to teach me how to knit for YEARS and I could never get the hang of it!
