When you cut out your cross stitched characters, how do you keep the edges from fraying? I've been thinking about making an iPhone sleeve to protect from scratches when it's clunking around in my purse.

awww thanks so much guys!
I.. dont' do anything special to keep the characters from fraying. I use my sewing machine to stitch them onto whatever background I have made, along with a heavy stablizer (so that the fabric holds it's relative shape) and I set the zig-zag edging stitch close together, and to the width of the cross stitching. then stitch over the border on the sprites.
that's it. just.. stitching and trimming, and it holds just fine =)
