Apparently, because I like the backsides to be all snuggly and use non cotton fabrics, it goes through the machine differently than the top, which is probably what makes my 1-2 puckers per quilt. Who knew!!

Ahhhhhhhhhh, ok. That makes sense. The rest of us know only use those for small baby quilts where you can control the bunching and stretching. ;) Trust me, use 100% cotton for the backings, no flannel or felted cotton and you will be MUCH happier.

Wait until you do something with tshirts. They are HORRENDOUS. They are always slipping and sliding and moving around.

I hear people complain about tshirts and similar stretchy material all the time. I LOVE it. I'd almost rather make stuff with jersey than anything else. I hate it when things don't flow through my machine.

It's probably because I mostly did 'proper' sewing starting out- clothes, costumes, etc. my trainings all in that. Even on quilt tops I don't pin things usually. Probably why the actual quilting throws me so much. I never expect to be actual work.
