Epic Mario Thru the Ages Pattern

I've just started this! It's for my friends birthday. I do hope I can get it done in time. I'm doing it on 25 count AIDA its going to look so awesome in the end. So far I've only blocked out the outside and started the first brick haha, but thats only because I just started it today.

Making the pattern took so long that I couldn't even consider stitching it but now I am inspired!

I'm trying to finish my epic Zelda Wind Waker pattern (oh, and my equally epic Monkey Island project, too), but this looks so good that I'll have to stitch it at some point. I was thinking that it would look awesome on a keepsake baby blanket.

I wonder if a hand-dyed sky blue fabric would look good... Any ideas?

I think it would look AWESOME with the background dyed blue. I actually thought about it half way through the project and was kicking myself for not thinking about it before!


Thank you everyone! I have actually inspired a few people to start this project through a facebook group as well. They saw it and were begging me for the pattern so I sent them here. Hopefully a few signed up.
