Mario 3 Treasure Box

Post by Lividus »

Hello all, long time forum crawler, first time craft poster. I came up with this idea to create the Mario 3 treasure box from the mushroom item house. This is what I came up with:

Note: you can see my Brother Dantay's Perler Bead crafts that live on my fridge in the background
This is a better picture, with my brother's (Dantay on the forums here; he does a lot of Perler Bead stuff) Frog Suit coaster.

Pick a box, its contents will help you on your way.
The idea was to have it contain all the items you could find in a treasure chest in the game in coaster form... I like making Perler Bead things as well, I just never got around to buying them. What do you guys think?

Wow! I would totally give up halfway through.

If you posted one on Etsy, I'd buy it. ^^

I was not expecting such an awesome response from the community! Thank you guys very much for the warm welcome!

I was not planning on making ones to sell... but... I have been persuaded! :yahoo:

I will whip up two more (for now; I wanted to anyway so I could line up three of them so it looks like the mushroom house ) and list them on Etsy once I: 1.) Figure Etsy out and 2.) Decide on a price... we'll see how it goes!! I'm hopefully going to start tonight on treasure box number 2!

Wow! I would probably buy one, too, depending on the price. This is fantastic!!

This is great! I've never even thought of bending plastic canvas, that is such a good idea!
