Re: Introductions
Hi everyone! I'm Cafe Link, I'm 19 and I first found this site about a year ago. I was so inspired! I love the Zelda series and whenever I find a new kind of craft to connect with it, I go nuts! I'm pretty experienced with wallhangings and have dabbled in plushes, blankets and pillows. But now I'm very interested in cross stitch. I'm ready to get started on a few now, so you can expect to see some Zelda stitches from me in the future!

HI I'M DAIZEH!
Ahaha. I've been lurking around here for a while now and finally decided to register. Most of your crafts are so great! I'm planning to start cross stitching now. I guess I'll post some pictures as soon as I've got something to show.

Re: Introductions
Hey all! My name is Project Autumn, or Autumn for short. I have a deep appreciation for video game music and for pixelated artwork, and am absolutely thrilled that this forum exists!
When I was a wee child, my parents bought an NES for the family. It was mostly intended for my older brother, but to everyone's surprise, the one who wound up getting into video games was not he, but his little sister! It was the Sega Genesis, however -- not the Nintendo -- that truly made me fall in love. Games like Toejam & Earl, Ecco the Dolphin, and the Sonic series were a huge part of my childhood.
I'm 24 now, and over the years I've collected a few more favorite games (LucasArts point-and-clicks, Zelda 3 and Ocarina of Time, FFVI, Pokémon, DDR, and Ninja Town, to name a few). Although I've always enjoyed crafts, I only started cross stitching this past year. My dream is to create a giant cross stitch of Mêlée Island from LucasArts' Secret of Monkey Island! In the meantime, I post other works sporadically on http://projectautumn.deviantart.com/
I love seeing everyone's work, and so many people have been so helpful already. Thank you, johloh, for creating this spot on the web!

Re: Introductions
Hi there! I'm Lain from Santa Cruz, Ca. I used to cross stitch when I was a teenager and just picked it back up in the last 2 years. Wow, that makes me sound old, but I'm only 26 =). I have been doing cross stitches of 80's tv stars for the hilarity factor, but I had the idea to do some smaller projects based on old video games because of the pixel-y nature of the images. I was so excited to find that I'm not the only one to have that idea! I'm really looking forward to busting out some of the awesome patterns that you folks have created. Thanks for sharing, everyone!

Re: Introductions
Hey all. My name is Marianne and I'm currently living in VA. My husband is in the Army. In about 2.5 months we'll be moving somewhere. Where that is however is still a mystery.
I used to cross stitch off and on some time ago. I stopped about 3 years ago and took up mosaics. Well all my stuff is in storage and I needed something to do to keep myself entertained. I originally stopped cross stitching because most patterns I found were really geared towards little old ladies. Okay, maybe that's a slight exaggeration, but lets just say I was having a hard time finding something more my style. Anyway, I happened across this site while looking for cool cross stitch patterns. I've already created a bookmark off a pattern I found on this site. I'm working on a second project. I'm also happy to report I've successfully created my own pattern. I look forward to actually stitching it.
Anyway, I hope to chat with you all further in the future

Re: Introductions
Hi! My name is grrlgeek42 (aka lilmalkie over at DeviantArt). I have been cross-stitching for many years but this is the first time I have done anything quite so nerdy
I am a video game nut who has birthed even bigger video game nuts. I tend toward the simple to do (Pokemon, Katamari etc) while the kids love the more complicated as well.
I am currently making a gift with Cloud from one of the patterns here for a friend of mine.
I also collect Asian Ball Jointed Dolls so I will be making pokemon themed items for said dolls in the future

Re: Introductions
Hi everyone, Geek Mythology here, or Vilsy to be more specific. I've always lurked about at Sprite Stitch, marveling at the creativity and the awesome geekiness on the blog, so I figured I'd finally join the forums. I'm not a huge forum person but I'll try my best to contribute every now and again!
Oh man, I love these emoticons by the way, especially this one

My fiance and I have been making bead sprites for almost two years now and we're always trying to create more unique designs. I look forward to seeing everyone's cool creations!

Hello everyone, my name is Mandy, and I live in Queensland, Australia. I have only just started cross stitching, and I love everyones work here. I love all things Zelda, and Mario comes a close second. I have three children, and the two boys love all things Nintendo, and the eldest loves Pokemon, so I am sure my cross stitches will be well recieved around this house
Anyway, I will see you all around the forums
Thanks for such a great site!
