Here is my idea for a banner:
I believe it is the exact size you want.
It will look smoother stitched I just quickly did it just to get the idea out there.[/color]

Re: Blog Banner Challenge!
I think already having a pacman banner, but not having a metroid banner...maybe just go straight metroid on it? instead of mixing the two?
I think the font could use a little work too.

Re: Blog Banner Challenge!
Really want to try a Bart's Nightmare themed banner? I'm working with rough cut and paste job at the moment (see below) then hoping to stitch from sprites the parts of Bart, the 'sprite stitch' title and misc. items like the mailbox/maybe the tree, etc. Then scan, tidy up and resize to fit the pixels after. Having a hard time finding a font that is close to the original title font, though, so may have to draw it up from scratch... what do you think?

looks good, I think I agree on doing the font from scratch though. Most of the letters will probably be there already...Bart's Nightmare = Srite Stith. so you'll only need to custom a P and a C. not bad.

Cats are awesome, just not when you are cross stitching.

DW, I like it...what parts of it will be stitched?
the background looks a bit fuzzy, you might need a better quality image to stitch off of/make your pattern

Re: Blog Banner Challenge!
nice stitching, that looks good...the left side still looks a bit blurry to me...can you post the original screenshot from the emulator?
