Re: Introductions
whoops i totally missed the introduction thread lol
i'm star- my real name's kristen^^; i'm almost 29 & i live in ontario, canada (currently- i'll explain further down lol)
i started cross stitching in middle school. i can't remember exactly how i got into it, but i've always been pretty crafty.
i've been a gamer foreeeeeeeeever. the 2 of those combined themselves sometime in the last few years.
i'm engaged to a wonderful man who happens to live in houston, texas. we met playing world of warcraft- because i honestly could not be a bigger nerd lol
we're in the process of filing for a visa for me and so, when this (much too long ; ; ) process is finished, i'll live in texas XD
i sell most of the things i create to fund the filing fees/medical fees/travel fees for the visa process. it's like my own personal bake sale only with way better fare than anything i could ever bake (burnt cookies anyone? no? ; ; ) >.> i don't have an etsy shop yet- but i will in the coming weeks^^;
(novella)
i've been reading sprite stitch for a long time and yet somehow totally managed to miss forums until like a month ago. you all seem like nice people and so i joined =)
>.> and now.. i shall end this long post ;P
nice to meet you, everyone =D

Re: Introductions
Hello my name is Quizzled. I am from Essex, England. I was looking for mario sprites and one of the results lead me here
I have been x-stitching for about 16 years or so
I am pleased fo finally find some other male x-stitchers
I haven't done any gaming x-stitching before, but I have been totally blown away with some of the patterns on here.
I am a big gamer too, I have the PS3 and the Wii. I have owned most of the consoles at one point. So finding this site is just combining two passions really. I do create my own designs, but not having a PC means paper and pencil. At the moment I am working on an avatar from the PS3 as a present for a friend.
It is great to meet everyone and look forward to posting soon

Re: Introductions
Hi everybody!
A bit late, but here goes:
I'm Ellen, I'm 21 years old and I live in the Netherlands. I'm in my 4th year of studing Industrial Design Engineering and I like to relax by stitching in front of the tv. My boyfriend studies Game Design and Development, which explains the enormous number of consoles and handhelds we have lying around.
I'm mostly into the classic games. My favorite game ever is Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town on the GBA. Still not finished though, it takes forever
Of course it doesn't help that I keep starting over because I forgot what I was doing
Other things I like to do are dancing, reading and knitting (just learned myself how to do it, I'm almost finished with my first scarf, yay)
I just finished my bookmark for this months contest and am trying to figure out what I'll make next.

Re: Introductions
Well hello there!
I"m Lisa from the Netherlands. And I've been stitching since.. ehh, I can't remember when i actually started. But that doesn't matter. I haven't stichted many things, but i enjoy doing it. At the moment i'm busy with the 'Home is where the controller is', and i've made a couple of other things. I also like to knit, crochet, and offcourse.. Play videogames!
I'm living togheter with my boyfriend in the heart of Leiden. We've got two kittens, and sometimes they make stitching, knitting or crocheting a hell. actually I've got nothing more to tell, unless you guys want to know something about me. I'll post some pictures of my stitchings soon, I think.

Re: Introductions
Hi guys!
I just realized that I never introduced myself properly! (in stead, I've started by posting a pattern request, and asking for more patterns
).
My name is Susanne (just like my nick), I'm 22 years old and I live in Utrecht, the Netherlands (jeeej for all the Dutchies on the forum). I cross stitched a Tatty Teddy (me to you) kit for my friend's baby room and that got me started! I made some presents for my grandma (mostly butterflies and stuff), but my boyfriend is hooked on the Zelda series and he's infected me I guess. I am now working on a small pattern for our 1y anniversary (it's Link giving a heart to Zelda) and I plan on making a Link for his birthday (although that is in 8 days time and I haven't started....)
So lots of work to be done there!
Anyway, I plan on making lots more game related stitchings (like the paper Mario placemats). Also, I love this forum!
