hi!

My name is Emil, and I’m from Sweden. I’m about to begin my journey with cross stitching. Never done something quite like it. But I love video games. I guess my first patterns will be of Final Fantasy and Zelda. Maybe some Mario, classic. Well that’s about it. :)

Greetings all! My name is Michelle and I'm 22. I happened upon this site a few weeks ago and was so happy to see people doing these kinds of cross stitch projects! Been wanting to try a video game project for awhile but had no idea where to start. Thanks for having me and I hope to share something with you guys soon! :yahoo:

I'm Stephanie :) I'm 21, living in London. Only started cross stitching at the end of last year - was hesitant at first but soon discovered I was a natural at it! A love for video games and craft is definitely a beautiful combination. Look forward to seeing and sharing pieces with you all :)

I'm Judy, 24(soon to be 25 in March), and I live in Maryland. I stumbled upon this site looking for pixel art, and fell in love with the beautiful projects everyone has done. When I was a young teenager, I did a cross stitch of one of Albert Einsteins famous quotes, but didn't continue afterwards. Finding this site has inspired me to go back to cross stitching (which can only be a good thing). I'm currently working on the original Mario "Home Sweet Home" castle for me and my hubbys new apartment. All you guys are most excellent, and I hope to one day be excellent too.
So, cheers, and happy crafting!
hey!
I am barbarbayee and a newbie and cross stitch is also my favourite, but not good at it.

hullo, newb here :)

Stumbled across this site when i was looking for a hobby to help me quit smoking (hoping to transfer to a friendlier addiction) and from the second i saw it i've been hooked! Extremely new to cross stitching but the patterns on here have inspired me to get my stitch on.

At the moment i'm working on a ranma/gemna pattern that i found through a link on here (http://www.box.net/shared/tuz6ten89j#/s ... 2/28514606)- thankyou to the person who made that, it's a perfect gift for my boyfriend! So i guess i'll post pics when it is done :)

Oh, and thankyou to johloh for getting me signed up, i had a very special moment when it came to the security code :s

Hi folks,

Back into stitching after many incomplete projects in my teens - now I'm all kitted up and ready to go with some excellent patterns.
Currently working on the Zelda ALTTP map and moving onto a non-sprite project after that.

Exciting stuff!

Hey, everyone! I'm Wedgetable, usually go by Wedge for short. Also Wedgetarian, Wedgehammer, the list goes on...

I've been on-and-off cross-stitching since I was as little as 7 or 8, but have been a nerd/geek my whole life. I finally quit World of Warcraft last June and have been filling my life with new addictions since, cross-stitching being one of them. I love giving cross-stitch gifts, but the quaint Precious Moments-style patterns I find in Michael's are so boring and appeal neither to me nor the geeky friends I would be giving them to! So I thought to myself - why not combine video game sprites, which are pixelated geeky goodness, with cross-stitching? Did a Google search, and BAM! Straight to this great site, where I browsed through every single cross-stitch project listed. I'm so inspired! I'm currently in the midst of a fairly big project, but I want to start on some video game stuff ASAP - I think my first project will be making a Metroid bookmark or card for a friend whose birthday is at the end of March. I haven't done any cross-stitching outside of plain-ol' framed pictures, so I may be on here looking for help soon. ;)

If you're curious about my current project: even though I usually avoid kits I've been working on this one for a while, and with some half-stitches I've added in, it's coming along nicely. I'll post pics in the non-sprite-related section sometime this week. :)
