DC Comic Con Kickstarter

If you follow me on Facebook you may have seen the Kickstarter I put up yesterday. Ben did an absolutely fabulous job for the DC Comic Con this year and a lot of people had a lot of fun. The only problem was there were way too many people for a smaller space. He wants to fix that this year and have the largest space possible and have the convention rival other large conventions on the east coast. He needs money to give to the convention center though.

This is where we need your help. He isn't even 50% funded yet and only has 9 more days to go in the campaign. If you even thought about going to the DC Comic Con next year, please buy a ticket. It is going to be $30 a person for a day and $50 for a weekend pass for admission. With the Kickstarter you can save money and pay $25 and $40 plus receive cool stuff! Or they have a FANTASTIC level at $300 where you can attend an awesome after party where some of the guests may join. I think I may try to go to the party myself. Know someone that is getting married? Have them do it DC Comic Con style! For the $10,000 (I know my wedding was more than that) they will take care of everything including a 2 night hotel stay and a wedding reception for 50 people plus the catering and DJ.

Are you an artist or a vendor? I sold the most I have ever sold at any show at this convention. It is an amazing show with amazing attendees. If you pledge for your table now, you get a discount! So PLEASE sign up. (Plus we can go hang out and have some fun).

In other words, we need to spread the word. Tell everyone you know about this Kickstarter and let's try to make next years DC Comic Con huge and awesome.

My spouse and I are definitely considering it. The only issue is that it comes right when we're about to take a moderately expensive trip to go visit family, so it's a matter of cash flow. But we'll figure out a way!

Thanks for helping out! They also have a "family pack" you can get for passes for the whole family. I would just hate to see the Kickstarter fail.

They have $43k out of the $50k needed. They only have 3 days left though! Ben has added some awesome incentives for everyone. If you buy your badge now, you are invited to a kickstarter only preview night on Friday night. This means no crowd and a lot more chance to find that special something from the vendor area before someone else snatches it up. They also now have a $10 supporter level for people that can't go to the convention but want to support them.

So PLEASE. If you haven't supported this kickstarter yet, please pass it on to everyone you know and try to help them out!!
