Some photos from my new job [video game related]

Hi guys!

My posts haven't been as regular the last couple months, mainly because I got a new job after I finished uni in June and I can't bare to look at a computer when I get home after doing so ALL day at work. Anyhow, I just thought I'd post some pictures of what I've been working on as part of my job. My work is with a experiential brand marketing agency based in London and I work in the production department... so we basically put on loads of customer experience events. The best thing about it is one of our biggest and main clients is NINTENDO! So here is some of the events I have been producing lately for them... mostly Dragon Quest IX, Super Mario and Pokemon related We also did the Super Mario Galaxy 2 Midnight launch at GAME store on Oxford Street. My job is to make creative ideas come to life and source all the props and main build.

1) From Dragon Quest PR Launch [the first event I got to properly own/have creative control over!!!]



2) From the most recent event I worked on this past weekend. Another Dragon Quest IX DS experience... a massive Castle-themed marquee that hit Sunderland Air Show this weekend and will hit 5 other major cities over the next month. This was the artificial tree we had to source to sit in the middle of the marquee. The castle features several different areas that kids can explore and play games! The photo below is from me and my colleague (pictured) building it two days ago.



3) Some stuff from Super Mario Galaxy II launch we did in June, inc. a press vid that was shot, a pic of me and my boyfriend meeting Charles Martinet (voice of Mario!) and our N64 cartridge that he signed

Anyway I thought I'd let you fellow video gamers know and have a peek at what I'm working on Nintendo-wise. I'm really enjoying it so far!!! Next we're doing lots of Pokemon stuff and Super Mario's Anniversary event wahoo! I just hope I get to work on some Metroid stuff too!

What awesome snaps! Speaking of Charles Martinet, I forgot to tell ya guys that I got him to pose with one of my bead sprites at this year's E3! I made a tanooki 'cause, duh, I work for The Tanooki, for all of my fellow writers and we spent most of the event trying to get people to pose with it. I'll have to get the snap from my coworker!
