Cleaning Wool

My grandmother just found out I am taking up crochet, and has given me full access to her stash of wool. There are some beautiful wools there, some she has dyed herself. Catch is most are somewhat dirty, and the moths have been into quite a few of them. Does anyone know a good way to clean the wool and kill any moths? I suspect it is a mix of wool, cotton, silk and acrylics.

I am planning to heat the wool in the oven (around 50-80 C) for an hour or so to kill any moth eggs, and then wash in warm water and drip dry. Does anyone know if this is likely to damage the wool?

To my limited knowledge, it won't hurt it. The only thing that you will have to watch out for with the wool yarn is that it might start to felt when you wash it. It might be best to wash it by hand to limit that effect.
