Pixelosis

Post by rogueprincess20 »

So after I saw the Zelda charm bracelet on the blog and I checked out Pixelosis deviant page I felt totally in awe of some of that stuff and fell in love with the Cucco earrings. I decided I had to try the beading thing out, my husband never let me have perlers but I figured maybe beads would sneak by. :secret Well knowing nothing of seed beads I just ran out and bought some.

My first attempt was horrid but I had the technique down. Those seed beads for those curious were a ratio of 4:3 Macstitch has it to where you can change the ratio to just that so I decided to try to draw up an approximation of a Mario mushroom.

Second attempt= success!!!

And with my first success came pure love of this new found craft. I am officially addicted. I ordered some beads after browsing the deviant art page and reading what kind were used in the originals I fell in love with. Their ratio is 1:1 so they are perfect for making sprites.

My third attempt after I received my beads was cuccos.

I think my next go after I finish the other cucco is going to be a keychain of Esper Terra from FF one of my all time favorite games. After that well sky's the limit.

I'm totally inspired by Pixelosis too! I'd love to try my hand at it, after I finish all the other projects I've got going. Yours are coming along great!!! :clapping:

OMG her work is AH-MAZ-ING. If it weren't for you Starrley I wouldn't have ever seen it and I am soooo glad you posted on the blog about her. I vaguely remember the Link and Zelda earrings from before but for some reason their pure awesomeness didn't click at the time.

I've learned thru trial an error what size needle and thread to use and what beading technique to use. Stupid little beading needles bend like crazy the way I man handle them. If you end up trying your hand at it I'd be more then happy to pass along what I've learned.

That would be great! I've always liked beading, but it's been years since I've done it. It's always great to get some tips! Thank you.
