Free patterns

In my search for inspiration for what to do next, I've tried to find pages with free patterns. And discovered that it's not always easy. So I was wondering, where do you guys get your free patterns? Or do you all make them yourself? I've found one page that is just awesome, with lots of different things, but I'd like to get more input and inspiration before I decide.

I've tried looking before but I could never find the type of pattern I wanted to make so I stuck with kits for the most part. It wasn't until I found this place that I started making my own patterns. Now I have a LOT of patterns I want to make with so little time to make them!

I tried to write response to this earlier but life got in the way, as it so often does.

We have a page on our wiki with links to patterns not on Sprite Stitch. Quite a few have free patterns. We also have a Pinterest board which has some free patterns as well.

I'm going to keep an eye on this thread - but also please feel free to PM me with links that you'd like added to the wiki page.

I find deviantart is also a decent place to find patterns. makibird-stitching.deviantart.com has some really awesome cross stitch level detailed patterns
