Magfest

Just wanted to see (other then those I already know in the etsy group, ), is anyone going to Magfest in 2 weeks? It is my first one and I am setting a table up for my quilts and magnets. I won't be able to leave my table and socialize much because I depend on commissions and not just sales, but I would love to meet people! Maybe hang out and chat for a bit.

If you want an idea of what my table will look like, here is my picture from the Baltimore Comic Con. I have red hair now though, so don't look for a blonde.



I also bought more gridwall so will build the structure behind me will be built taller then 8 feet so it can be seen around the show.

Oh, and the dolls on the left are Lailada's! She will be with me at Magfest. It's the first time she can do a show with me and not just send her dolls. So I am excited!

I don't know what is Magfest, but it sounds pretty cool... when (and where) is it ? your table is full !! I wish you'll sell plenty of things !!

My table is definitely full and will be even fuller for Magfest! Magfest is a 4 day 24 hour gaming convention in Maryland. I have heard so many good things about it and can't wait to be a part of it.

I can't wait to see all of the Sprite Stitchers at Magfest! Here's me after sitting at the table after 10 hours straight last year.

Also, for anyone who's going, I'm trying to have a local crafter meetup. I find it's always hard to make good connections while you're working behind the table, and I always miss out on talking to cool people. Here's the flyer I made up, and East Coast Geek Artists is the Etsy team I run, but anyone at Magfest is welcome! I'll update this with the room number soon. The time is also iffy, depending on the concerts.

I'd never heard of Magfest before seeing stuff about it here this year, and now I think we might take a swing by. We live about 2 hours outside the DMV.

Exciting! How'd it go? We don't get any conventions or anything like that around here....

We had a great time. Laialda and I sold almost all of our inventory and took some new commissions. If anybody is thinking of traveling to a game convention, this one is worth it.
