Probably a dumb question, but..
Where do you find patterns for your perler art? So you just use cross stitch patterns and convert colours to beads? Or is there a site where you find patterns for perler bead art?

Re: Probably a dumb question, but..
What I usually do is make it up as I go along if I'm making an original project. Or if I find someone else's project that I like, the beads are big enough to count out how many I need to do in the row, so I just look at my computer while I'm doing the project. Or I'll print out the picture
. Google is always a good place to look to see if someone else has done what you want to do. Then there are always sprites. Each pixel is a perler bead, so just follow the sprite. I usually open the image up in paint.net and zoom way in until I can see each pixel to make it easier. And you can also adapt cross-stitch patterns into perler, but be warned that they can get big really quickly.
This was probably way too detailed of an answer, but I hope I helped!
And there's no such thing as a dumb question! (Well, sometimes there is, but yours was not. Lol)

Thanks! I've totally gone on a sprite download craze. I'm also starting to do my own pixel art, so yay! I can convert things I design myself!Aridesh wrote:What I usually do is make it up as I go along if I'm making an original project.
