True, but at the same time, when do we stop being tolerant. I'm not trying to stir things up, but if we say that we have to be tolerant of everybody, then you're going to get people coming out of the woodwork saying "You need to be tolerant of me even though I like child p r o n" or stuff like that.m4pl3g1rl wrote:Agreed. And that really is what it boils down to isn't it? You can argue your point from your your own viewpoint/moral/choice/taste but you can't make people agree with you. That's why people need to be tolerant.LinkIsMyHomeboy wrote: To me, it boils down to personal taste/choice/morals. What I like may not be someone else's cup of tea, and that's perfectly fine with me.
I claim the right to believe as I wish, and I think everyone has that right. It's in not recognizing that where we tend to get problems.
It's these weird shades of gray that seems to cause the problems. Some people see the world as black and white, it's either wrong or it's right. Then there are other people that see things as shades of gray where right and wrong have many different levels. I am mainly a black and white person but I can see shades of gray. My husband, on the other hand, is more of a gray kind of guy. We've had several arguments over stuff and what is acceptable. Honestly, some of them have gotten pretty bad and has caused our relationship a lot of heartache.
Sorry, starting to babble. Been sick with a fever today, so feel free to ignore this fever-induced babble.
