That's awesome. I've heard he's such a nice guy.

I would love VGL to come over to the UK. Also an Elder Scrolls concert. Love Jeremy Soule!

There is a performance in Grand Rapids, Michigan on October 19th this year, which I'm anxiously awaiting the tickets to go on sale for. Hubby and I are going to make it a little trip for our 5 year anniversary (which is on October 18th)/birthday present for me (which is on October 10th).

Edit: I'm referring back to The Zelda Symphony.

Somehow I already knew that before I got to the edit. Link is your homeboy, remember? :P

EDIT: Ironically, I had to edit twice because I didn't make any sense!

Bahaha! Touché! But, I would not be opposed to any other video game inspired performance, either. I'm not a FF fan, but I love the music and would go see a professional performance. :D

I'm not a FF fan either but I agree - they have pretty music.

Speaking of music here's a thought - Today's video game and movie music is to us what Opera music was to the people living 300 years ago.

I'd love to see a movie with a live soundtrack! On the other hand, I despise major urban centers and I have two young children.

They do go to the UK. I saw them twice at the fancy place next to the BFI cinema on the Thames at Waterloo. Just wish the would come to Sydney.

Well Syndey is only 4 million which pushes the definition of major urban from a lot of countries to the limit. But the ASO ( Adelaide Symphony Orchestra ) also does LOTR and its only like 1.2 million

Only four million! That's half the size of New York City, and the second largest city in the US, Los Angeles, is 3.8 million. The town I live nearest is just over thirteen thousand, and I feel crowded whenever we have to go to the grocery store. :(

I admit that there have been a lot of shows at Wolf Trap near DC that I'd love to visit, population density be damned, but never anything as awesome as a game-related concert.

Well yes only 4 million...

Sydney spreads far and wide 12,144.6 km2 (4,689.1 sq mi) = 2058/km2 pop density
VS
NYC 468.5 sq mi (1,213 km2) = 27,550/sq mi (10,640/km2)

AKA 1/5th

LA 503 sq mi (1,302 km2) = 8,092/sq mi (3,124/km2)

AKA 2/3rds

Now Adelaide
1,826.9 km² (705.4 sq mi) = 659/km² (1,706.8/sq mi)

Australia as a whole has a pop density of 2~3/km2
